Industry Group - System Developers

Manufacturers of finished products, also known as 'original equipment manufacturers' OEMs, often require engineering competences of their suppliers. As a response, a group of professional engineering agencies that are specialised in the development of production equipment (high-tech systems) is showing up in the manufacturing industry. The System Developers group bundles the powers of this type of suppliers within NEVAT.

The mission of the System Developers is to create 'new business' by bringing together the triangle of OEM, System Developer and System Supplier. The group wants to achieve this by:

• Giving the term "system developer" a recognisable spot in the industrial playing field of the manufacturing industry (create transparency).
• Raise the knowledge level of the members to a higher level.
• Strengthen the network of System Developers in the value chain.
• Promote the interests of the members.

In the chain of the product creation process that includes analysis, strategy forming, concept development, product development, prepare for production, production, marketing and sales and product improvement, our members limit themselves to concept development, product development and preparing for production.

Membership in the System Developers group is open to member of NEVAT who have (multidiscipline) engineering as main activity (engineering, electronics/electrical engineering, mechatronics, optics, embedded systems, control technology, software). The members have no or limited production facilities themselves; as a result the independency of the product design is warranted. The production facilities focus mainly on the construction of prototypes.
